Getting started
Company, locations and tax
Your business details, branches and delivery zones, currency, time zone, tax and bank details.
These settings describe your business. They print on invoices, agreements, quotes and emails, and they decide how money, dates and addresses are shown everywhere. Open them from the gear icon. Every change is recorded in the audit log.
Company
Settings, Company has your company details and your branding.
- Trading name and legal name: the trading name is what customers see; the legal name prints on invoices and agreements.
- Country: sets how addresses are checked and what your business number is called.
- Business number: labelled ABN in Australia, Company number in the UK, EIN in the US, and Business number elsewhere.
- Phone, email and website.
- Address: your main location's address. Change it in Locations.
Branding (logo and colours) is on the same page. See Rental rules, terms and branding.
Locations
Settings, Locations lists the places cars are picked up and returned. Each location has:
- Name and type: Branch, Airport or Delivery zone.
- Address, found with address search.
- Phone.
- Surcharge: an optional fee added to bookings that start or end there, shown on the booking with the location's name, for example "Airport pickup fee" or "Airport return fee".
- Opening hours.
- Open for pickups and returns: switch it off to stop new bookings there without deleting it.
- Main location: the first location you add becomes the main one, and its address is your business address.
A location that's used by bookings or cars can't be deleted. Close it instead.
Region and tax
Settings, Region and tax decides how numbers, money and dates look, and how tax is worked out. Blank fields follow your country, and the page shows a live example such as "$1,234.50 · 31 Dec 2026, 10:30 pm".

Region and tax for a business in Australia: AUD, Perth time, GST at 10%.
Region
- Currency: what prices, invoices and payments are in. Changing it doesn't convert amounts you've already entered.
- Time zone: decides what "today" means, for pickups today, overdue returns and reminders.
- Number and date format and Week starts on.
Tax
- Tax name: GST, VAT, Sales tax, HST, IVA, MwSt, TVA or Tax.
- Rate: for example 10 for 10%.
- Registered for tax: when ticked, invoices and receipts show the tax amount.
- Prices include tax: whether the rates and extras you enter already include it. Most Australian and New Zealand businesses leave this on.
BookandManage knows the usual currency, time zone and tax name for around 60 countries. Anywhere else starts with US dollars, UTC and "Tax" until you change them.
Bank details and payment terms
Settings, Payments holds what customers need to pay you:
- Accepted methods and an optional card surcharge percentage.
- Invoice payment terms, in days.
- Bank account. The fields follow your country: BSB and account number in Australia, sort code in the UK, routing number in the US, and IBAN and BIC where they're used. Only people with finance access can see it.
Bank details print in the "How to pay" box on invoices.
Addresses and address search
Address fields search as you type and fill in the street, suburb or city, state and postcode, with labels and lists that suit your country. If address search isn't available, for example after the fair-use limit of 2,000 Google lookups a month, it falls back to another provider and then to typing the address by hand. Nothing stops working.
